The girls and I always tend to get into a little bit of redecorating mischief when John leaves town. Emily's bathroom had been driving me crazy for awhile with the depressing beige paint and the construction grade fixtures.
We painted the cabinet on Saturday.
We painted the walls and hung the mirror on Sunday.
A few finishing touches and the room looks a lot better. It's a much happier room now.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have those same original lights in my bathroom, but i'm in an apartment so... not much choice. I LOVE the fixtures you picked!!!
Very Nice!
ReplyDeleteI love the color scheme and the new fixtures. Gorgeous! And I totally thought I already commented on this post, but apparently I got interrupted, by a child most likely.
ReplyDeleteGood job. Looks great. Will you come to my house.
ReplyDeleteThe place looks fab! Between you and HGTV, I feel like we really might be able to rennovate a house like we plan in the spring. Oye, I dunno, maybe not....
ReplyDeleteSHUTUP!

Nice makeover. The blue is much better and I like the new light fixtures. Being the husband and man of the house, I have to know...did John know what was going to happen when he left? I'm sure if he didn't, it was a nice surprise when he returned home. It turned out great. Steve -French Cupboard
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous. I need to do this to my son's bathroom. And to mine!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWeeehooo, girl power renovating!!! Good for you and your girls -- you did a fantastic job making over this bathroom :-) The blue walls look so fresh and cheery, and the dark vanity & mirror frame stand out so nicely against the blue. Huge improvement with the new light fixture too :-)

That's a wonderful bathroom transformation. Great choices! Linda
ReplyDeleteBig difference! I so much prefer a nice framed mirror to the huge ones they hung in the 80s. And how perfect did your cabinet turn out - you wouldn't know it was a builder basic vanity! Great job - good colour choices!

I can't believe you did this in a weekend! Great job! Love the new colors, and the framed mirror. Great light fixture also. Wonderful transformation. Kathy
