My Elijahs

Both of my grandfathers' names are Elijah. They are both still alive, which is saying a lot considering I am no spring chicken. The are both adorable and they are both perfect. Both were married all their lives to the same woman (women?).

This is "Papaw". He lives here in Ohio. He will be 90 in April. This picture was taken of him this past Christmas at my house.

This is "Grandpa Peanut". He lives in Florida. He turned 90 last July. I took this picture with him last summer.
My grandpas are truly good men. They are easygoing, responsible men. They put their families' first their entire lives. When my son was born, I gave him Elijah for his middle name. I am so glad I did. He is turning out to be similar.
I am so fortunate to still have 3 of my grandparents. I guess I have longevity in my genes. And aren't they the cutest?

  1. That is so sweet! Wow, I only have 1 grandparent left and she is just 89. (just?) Anyway, have fun with the grandpas. They make life just that much better.

  2. That's pretty cool they are both Elijah-and now your son has the middle name. They look like very happy Grandpas!

  3. Grandpas are the best, I wish I still had one around

  4. That is so cool that you have BOTH of your grandpa's living. They both look like sweet men.

  5. I would love to meet your Elijah's! They look amazingly sweet.

My kids lost three grandpas in one year. My grandpa, my dad, and my husband's grandpa. They only have one left, but he is a terrific grandpa.

Something about the name, huh? My Elijah's pretty darn sweet, too.

    Sweet post.

  6. That is so amazing that they are both still alive. I've never had a grandpa alive. Although, that is a bit disrespectful because an uncle stepped in and always treated me like a grandpa. But I mean the true definition of grandpa - never. How lucky! I love the name Elijah. They are both adorable!

  7. They are the cutiest. Grandparents are the best. Last year my Danielle had 5 of her grandmas with her on her birthday. Both grandmas and 3 great grandmas. Pretty cool.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. No need to point out my mistakes, I have family for that.
